Frontier takes over Verizon's internet

A deal between two large providers of communications services could translate into expanded availability and faster access to the internet for customers in Brown County and surrounding communities.
A transaction was completed earlier this month transferring Verizon Communications' "local wireline operations" in 14 states, including Ohio, to Frontier Communications. The predominately rural areas of the Buckeye state such as Brown County may see significant changes to all sorts of communications offerings, from voice services to satellite video access, and Internet service in particular.
