Evans announces candidacy for commissioner post

Van Wert County farmer and small business owner Bill "Wilbur" Evans is announcing his candidacy for Van Wert County Commissioner. He is seeking the seat currently held by Harold Merkle.

As Commissioner of Van Wert County, there are many things that Evans says he would like to accomplish. Evans would like to be able to work with the elected officials at the state levels to find different ways to promote Ohio and, especially, Van Wert County's work force.

vans is also an active member of Van Wert County Community Improvement Corporation where he helped to begin the Innovation Center, a place for small businesses to begin operating. He is currently working with Connect Ohio to bring broadband internet service to the Village of Convoy and surrounding areas, enabling schools, businesses and residents to have a high-speed internet connection...
