Area Receives Funding For Broadband Expansion Over 700 Construction Jobs Expected

When the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was passed in February of 2009, seven billion was allocated to fund broadband projects across the country. On Wednesday, August 18 it was announced by Vice President Joe Biden, that Horizon (a telecommunications company from Chillicothe) was awarded $66.4 million dollars to extend broadband networks in 34 counties.
