Five Ohio broadband projects received $14.4 million in broadband infrastructure funding by the U.S. Department of Agriculture through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. It’s expected that these jobs will help to create jobs in seven rural counties including Trumbull County and extend broadband service to selected rural Mahoning Valley communities.
“Connecting our rural communities to high-speed Internet will link more workers to the global economy and transform classrooms,” Ohio Govenor Strickland said. “These critical investments will create jobs and lay the groundwork for long-term economic growth in communities across Ohio.”
